Upon arrival in Tehran, your local guide will welcome you at the airport. After a brief orientation, we begin our scenic drive south toward the Zagros Mountains, passing through the picturesque towns of Khansar, Golpayegan, and Daran. Along the way, enjoy views of rolling hills, traditional villages, and fertile valleys. By evening, we reach Chelgerd, the heart of the Bakhtiari region, where we will spend the night surrounded by mountain landscapes.
Today we explore the breathtaking Bakhtiari highlands, home to one of Iran’s most prominent nomadic tribes. We visit the Kuhrang Spring, where crystal-clear waters emerge from beneath the Zagros mountains, feeding local rivers and pastures. Our trek continues to the Sheikh-Alikhan region, known for its natural beauty and as a main settlement area of the Bakhtiari nomads. Experience their traditional lifestyle and hospitality, and enjoy a day immersed in nature and local culture before returning to Chelgerd for the night.
After breakfast, we drive toward Yasuj, a city surrounded by scenic mountains and rivers. En route, we visit a Qashqai nomad camp, meeting the people of this proud Turkic-speaking tribe who still follow seasonal migrations. Learn about their colorful tents, traditional clothing, and pastoral way of life. Arrive in Yasuj in the evening and rest at your hotel.
Today’s journey takes us to Shiraz, the city of poets and gardens. On the way, we stop in Nourabad to visit the Mamasani nomads, another ancient tribe with deep roots in southwestern Iran. We also explore the ruins of Bishapur, the remains of a grand Sassanid city founded by King Shapur I in the 3rd century AD, featuring rock reliefs and stone carvings that tell stories of ancient Persian glory. Continue to Shiraz for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we set out to explore Iran’s most iconic archaeological site, Persepolis, the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire. Walk among the majestic ruins, royal palaces, and grand staircases that once hosted dignitaries from across the ancient world. A short drive away lies Naqsh-e Rostam, the royal necropolis where the tombs of Persian kings are carved into towering cliffs. Return to Shiraz for an evening at leisure.
Today we travel toward Yazd, stopping en route to visit Pasargadae, the first capital of the Achaemenid Empire and the resting place of Cyrus the Great, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue across the desert plains to reach Yazd, known for its unique desert architecture and Zoroastrian heritage.
In the morning, we explore the highlights of Yazd, including the Amir Chakhmaq Complex, the Jameh Mosque, and the Zoroastrian Fire Temple, where a sacred flame has burned for over a millennium. Later, we drive toward Isfahan, one of Iran’s most beautiful and historically significant cities. Overnight stay in Isfahan.
Today is devoted to exploring the magnificent city of Isfahan, often described as “Half the World.” We visit the grand Naqsh-e Jahan Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by architectural masterpieces such as the Imam Mosque, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, and Ali Qapu Palace. Stroll through the Grand Bazaar, visit the Si-o-se Pol and Khaju Bridges, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of this elegant city.
After breakfast, we begin our return journey to Tehran, stopping in Kashan to visit the Fin Garden and one of its elegant historical houses. Continue to Qom, Iran’s main religious center, for a short visit before arriving in Tehran in the evening.
Our final day begins with a Tehran city tour, visiting highlights such as the Golestan Palace and the National Museum of Iran, offering a deeper understanding of the country’s rich history. In the evening, transfer to Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA) for your departure flight.
