Tehran ski slopes are located in different parts of the capital and have suitable conditions for skiing for about four months of the year; Of course, having fun on the ski slopes of Tehran is not limited to this sport and many people go to these places to enjoy a snowy day and away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Upon arrival in Tehran, Iran’s vibrant capital city, you will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Take the rest of the day to relax and adjust to the altitude, as Tehran lies nearly a mile above sea level at the foot of the Alborz Mountains. Depending on your arrival time, you may wish to take a short walk around the city or enjoy a traditional Persian meal at a local restaurant before beginning your ski adventure the following day.
After breakfast, head north to the Tochal Ski Resort, one of the world’s highest ski areas, located just a short drive from downtown Tehran. Take the cable car up the mountain to enjoy spectacular views of the capital below and the snow-covered peaks above. Spend the day skiing or snowboarding on Tochal’s excellent slopes, suitable for a range of skill levels. The clean mountain air and stunning scenery make for a refreshing escape from the city. After an exciting day on the slopes, enjoy an overnight stay at Tochal Mountain Hotel.
This morning, transfer to Shemshak, one of Iran’s most popular and challenging ski resorts, located about 60 kilometers northeast of Tehran. Shemshak is known for its steep runs and vibrant après-ski atmosphere, making it a favorite destination for experienced skiers and snowboarders. Spend the entire day exploring its powdery slopes, and later, relax in one of the cozy mountain lodges or cafes that overlook the glowing slopes illuminated at night.
Today’s adventure takes you to the nearby Darbandsar Ski Resort, located just a short drive from Shemshak. This modern resort offers excellent snow conditions, professional facilities, and fewer crowds, making it ideal for a full day of skiing. Enjoy the crisp mountain air and panoramic views of the Alborz range as you glide down the slopes. In the afternoon, drive back to Shemshak for another comfortable overnight stay in this alpine village.
After breakfast, transfer to Dizin, Iran’s largest and most famous ski resort, situated about 120 kilometers north of Tehran. Upon arrival, check in at your accommodation and spend the afternoon skiing on Dizin’s well-groomed trails. The resort offers a wide variety of runs for all levels, from beginners to advanced skiers, as well as magnificent views of Mount Damavand, the highest peak in Iran. Overnight stay in Dizin.
Enjoy a full day at Dizin Ski Resort, taking advantage of its extensive network of slopes and lifts. The high altitude ensures long-lasting snow quality, making Dizin one of the best ski destinations in the Middle East. You can also try snowboarding or simply relax at one of the mountain cafes, soaking in the peaceful alpine scenery. Spend another night at your Dizin hotel, surrounded by snowy peaks and clear mountain skies.
After breakfast, drive back to Tehran (approximately 120 km). Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a short city sightseeing tour to visit highlights such as the Golestan Palace, Grand Bazaar, or Azadi Tower. Later, transfer to the airport for your departure flight, concluding your memorable skiing adventure through Iran’s majestic Alborz Mountains.
